Maple Leafs sign Pitcher Cesar Rosado
TORONTO - The Toronto Maple Leafs Baseball Club (@iblmapleleafs) announced today the signing of Right-handed pitcher Cesar Rosado.
The 26-year-old, Santo Domingo, DR native has spent six years in the Houston Astros system making it to AA in 2021 with Corpus Christi. He has a minor league record of 20-26 with 359 strikeouts in 333 Innings.
“We are excited to bring Cesar here to Toronto. He will slot into our rotation and will give us quality starts. Cesar is from the same hometown as Jose and I think that familiarity will help make the transition easier for him, and the two of them will enjoy their time in Toronto even more” said Maple Leafs General Manager Jeff Lounsbury
The Toronto Maple Leafs are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
