IBL ROUNDUP: Majors win fourth straight
GUELPH – London will enter the playoffs on a four-game win streak after a 3-2 victory Tuesday night in Guelph.
Eduardo De Oleo and Charles Bowman each had two hits and drove in a run for the defending champion Majors (17-25), who face second-place Kitchener in the first round starting Thursday. Josh Williams also had an RBI.
Braeden Ferrington went seven innings for the win and allowed two runs on seven hits with a walk and eight strikeouts.
Justin Interisano and Owen Ellis drove in the Royals’ runs. Malik Collymore went 2-for-4 and scored twice.
Yomar Concepcion took the loss, giving up two runs (one earned) on three hits with three walks and five strikeouts.
Fifth-place Guelph (19-23) opens the playoffs Thursday in Toronto.
