Cards sign Utility Player Bryan Rivera
HAMILTON - The Hamilton Cardinals are excited to announce the signing of utility player Bryan Rivera for the 2023 season.
Rivera, a Rochester, New York native, will join the Cardinals after completing his playing career at NCAA D3 Cortland (SUNY). In two seasons Rivera appeared in 24 games, batting .295 with a .326 OBP, along with two doubles and four RBI’s across 44 total AB’s.
“I’m very thankful and grateful for this opportunity, “ said Rivera. “I’m looking forward to doing whatever it takes to help the ball club win and bring a championship back to Hamilton.”
Rivera also spent time at Niagara County Community College in Sanborn, NY before transferring, and played with the Newark Pilots of the Perfect Game Collegiate League in 2019
“Riv is the Swiss Army Knife, and the safety net we needed in our system,” said George Halim, Hamilton Cardinals General Manager. “I’ll sleep well at night knowing we have a guy that can play every position, and impact the game with his bat, his legs and his glove. He’s also P5 funniest person I’ve ever met, and that’ll reverberate in the clubhouse.”
