Wood Named League's Top Executive for 2024

The David E. Hastings Trophy is presented annually by the Intercounty Baseball  League to the executive voted upon by his peers to have contributed to the betterment of their ball club and the IBL as a whole.  David E. Hastings was a former player and owner of the Guelph Royals of the Intercounty Baseball League for many years.

The 2024 recipient of the Hastings trophy dedicated his life to baseball.  He was instrumental in the foundation of the Hamilton Cardinals Rep organization, and the longevity of the Hamilton Cardinals IBL franchise.   He was often the voice of reason at the league meetings when the league needed one.    

Larry Wood left us in September at 73, but his legacy will continue with the Cardinals organization and within the Intercounty Baseball League.
