Panthers Infielder Whalen Re-Signs For The 2021 Season

KITCHENER - Kitchener Panthers are pleased to announce the re-signing of third-year infielder Stephen Whalen (Heidelberg, ON) for the 2021 season. Stephen has really come into his own over the last three years and we are looking forward to him becoming an impact player for us in 2021. In 2019, Stephen batted .241 appearing in 19 games for the Panthers and hit .426 while winning the Silver Slugger Award at third base for the University of Waterloo Warriors in the OUA.

The Kitchener Panthers are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 102-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
