Panthers end skid
HAMILTON – The Kitchener Panthers snapped a four-game losing streak Friday night in Hamilton.
Spenser Ross went 3-for-4 with two RBI for Kitchener (3-9). Kenny DiClemente had two hits and an RBI, Nick Parsons drove in a run and scored twice, and Stephen Whalen, Blake Jacklin and Simon Grinberg all had two hits and a scored.
Panthers’ starting pitcher Pedro De Los Santos (1-1) was sharp, fanning five over eight innings to pick up the win. He scattered three hits and gave up a pair of unearned runs.
For Hamilton (6-6), Danny Berg had an RBI single and later scored on a balk. Josh Niles added a double.
Cards’ starting pitcher Brett Lawson (1-1) was pulled with one out in the third after yielding six runs (three earned) on six hits with a walk.
