LONDON - The London Majors are happy to announce the signing of right-handed pitcher Dylan Brooks.
The Dorchester, Ontario native, started his IBL career with the Majors as a 17-year-old before getting drafted by the San Francisco Giants in the 30th round of the 2013 MLB June Amateur Draft. Spending 2013-2015 with the Giants organization registering 80 strikeouts over 73.1 innings between starting and the bullpen including 3 saves in 4 opportunities. In 2018 Dylan rejoined the Majors and started in 7 games posting a record of 4-2 with 51 strikeouts.
Co-Owner, Manager and General Manager Roop Chanerdat was asked about adding Brooks to a pitching staff that already has fellow Londoner Owen Boon “Dylan is a big strong pitcher that has very good command. Dylan can be one of the top pitchers in the league and we are looking forward to having him be an integral part of our pitching staff.”
At 25 years old Dylan was asked about rejoining the Majors for the 2021 season “I am looking forward to rejoining the Majors and helping this team win. This is a team that helped me get drafted when I was young and I have fond memories of pitching at Labatt Park.”
The London Majors are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The 100-year old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, with the league established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
