Majors Bolster Pitching Staff with Pelchat
LONDON - The London Majors are pleased to announce the signing of Tring-Jonction, Quebec native Rene-Dave Pelchat. The 6’2”, 27-year-old pitcher joins the Majors after pitching for the Victoriaville Cactus of the LMBQ last season. Not only has Pelchat pitched in Quebec, but also travelled over to Belgium to pitch in Division 1. With a career ERA of 2.89, Rene- Dave has been worthy of multiple awards including 2016 pitcher of the year and 2019 comeback player of the year.
The newcomer to the Majors staff was asked about his outlook on this season and responded with "I'm very excited to join the London Majors for the 2020 season! I’ve been working very hard to be ready and I can’t wait to get the rock. I heard good things about this league so I’m excited to compete against new competition. I’ve also heard great things about Roop and this London Majors organization! I’m excited to meet the rest of the team and I can’t wait for the season to start!"
When Roop Chanderdat (Co-Owner, GM and Field Manager) was asked about the Quebec native, he had this to say; “I am very pleased to add Rene-Dave Pelchat to our Majors team. He is coming off a tremendous season in the LBMQ (Quebec Baseball League) and we expect him to have continued success in the IBL. Pelchat gives us another left-handed pitcher on our staff”
