Jackfish Sign Cameron for 2021 Season
WELLAND – The Welland Jackfish, members of the Intercounty Baseball League (IBL), today announced the signing of current Niagara University right-handed pitcher, Zach Cameron for the 2021 season.
Cameron, a 5-11, 205-pound righty joins the Jackfish from the Niagara University Purple Eagles. Thus far into the Purple Eagles 2021 season, Cameron has recorded a 2.08 ERA with 16 strikeouts, six walks and a 2-1 record over 17.1 innings pitched. During the 2020 season he made five appearances on the mound and picked up one win while striking out 15 in 8.2 innings pitched. Finishing the season with a 6.23 ERA, Zach was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week on Feb. 25.
The Welland Jackfish are a member of Canada’s top baseball league, the Intercounty Baseball League.
