HRD Players of the Week

The Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) announced its HRD Bat Co Players of the Week for the week of July 1st to July 8th. 

Nick Parsons of the Kitchener Panthers went 5 for 8 with 5 RBIs and 5 runs scored to help secure three wins, two against London and one against Chatham-Kent. Parsons, an Ontario native is batting a .315 with 7 HR and 24 RBI’s. 

This week we are awarding two Pitchers of the Week, the first being Josh Laukkanen of the Brantford Red Sox. Laukkanen struck out 12 batters over 8 innings against the London Majors and only gave up 4 hits and 2 runs in that outing.  The second Pitcher of the Week is Gregor Farquharson of the Brantford Red Sox. Farquharson struck out 9 batters over 8 innings against Welland Jackfish and only gave up 3 hits and 1 run in that outing. 

Honourable mention to Dennis Dei Baning of the Hamilton Cardinals went 5 for 7 with 3 RBIs and 2 runs scored against Guelph Royals and Toronto Maple Leafs. Dei Baning is currently batting .308 with 2 HR and 14 RBIs.
