Boon dominates in Majors’ win
LONDON – Owen Boon fanned 12 over seven shutout innings to lead the London Majors to a 7-0 win over Barrie Friday evening at Labatt Park.
Boon scattered five hits and didn’t issue a walk as he improved to 6-0.
Offensively, Keith Kandel homered and drove in two. Robert Mullen went 2-for-4 with an RBI, Gibson Krzeminski had two hits, two runs and an RBI, Cleveland Brownlee drove in a run and scored and Austin Wilkie added an RBI single.
London improved to 13-5.
For Barrie (11-9), Malik Williams and Jake Wilson each had a pair of hits.
Juan Benitez (3-3) took the loss, allowing six runs on eight hits over six innings. He walked two and struck out 10.
