Baycats end Royals' win streak

GUELPH – The Barrie Baycats ended Guelph's win streak at six after a 10-6 victory over the Royals Tuesday night at David E. Hastings Stadium.
It was Guelph's first loss since a June 23 matinee in Toronto.
Jordan Castaldo and Starlin Rodriguez each had two hits, two RBI and a run for Barrie. It was Castaldo's 11th longball this season. Jon Waltenbury had two hits and an RBI, and Ryan Spataro singled and drove in a run while scoring three times.
Santos Arias (5-2) went all nine innings for the win. He surrendered six runs on nine hits with five walks and nine punchouts.
Yunior Yambatis (1-3) took the loss, allowing seven runs (five earned) on nine hits with three walks and five strikeouts.
Offensively, Kyle Kush led the Royals with two hits, an RBI and a run. Sean Reilly and Justin Interisano each drove in a run, Riley Perks added two hits, an RBI and a run, and Darius Barlas went 2-for-4 with two runs and an RBI.
Barrie improved 17-6, and Guelph dropped to 13-12.
