Barrie's Garces Named Rawlings IBL Player of the Month

The Intercounty Baseball League (IBL) today announced Barrie pitcher Frank Garcés has been named the League's Rawlings Player of the Month for June 2023.
The Baycats left-hander posted a 2-0 record over three June starts, striking out 22 hitters over 19.2 innings in the process. The former San Diego Padre leads all qualified IBL starters with a 2.03 ERA, and has not issued a single walk thus far in 2023.
Garcés (San Cristóbal, D.R.) is once again the anchor of Barrie's rotation and boasts an eye-popping 10.8 career K/BB ratio since first entering the Intercounty League in 2018.
