Barnstormers Contribute $10,000 through Local Charities in 2024

CHATHAM - The Chatham Barnstormers Baseball Club are pleased to announced they distributed $10,000 during the 2024 season through local charities, including the Knights of Columbus.

To run the game-day operations, the participation of the 8 Knights of Columbus' councils with 150 volunteers, including youth volunteers, who did over 10,000 hours during the summer, was certainly a huge part of this great accomplishment.

The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers saw amazing success on and off the field including seeing over 20,000 fans enter Fergie Jenkins Field, good for third in the IBL with an average of 947 fans per game.

The Chatham-Kent Barnstormers are a member of Canada’s best league, the Intercounty Baseball League. The over 100-year-old summer league is one of the oldest baseball leagues in the world, established in 1919, drawing significantly more fans, in a friendly ballpark experience, than any league of its kind.
